At Gymnázium VICTORIA HIGH SCHOOL, we guide students not only toward academic development, but also toward responsibility, empathy, and active engagement in society.
As part of IB CAS Day, Community Service Day took place, during which students engaged in meaningful volunteer activities at various locations across Prague. They cooperated with local non-profit organizations, community centers, and other institutions, and dedicated their time, energy, and skills to helping others.
Students helped, for example, with the maintenance and cleaning of spaces, garden work, preparation of an equestrian area, improvement of public space, or with conversational activities for clients of Diakonie.
Community Service Day was a valuable experience for them, which develops cooperation, independence, respect, and the ability to perceive the needs of people and places around them. At the same time, it showed them that helping others has real meaning and can have a concrete impact on the local community.
We thank all involved organizations for receiving our students, and the students for their commitment, energy, and willingness to help.
