First Regional Study trip

On Thursday, May 29th, a group of twenty-five VHS students, along with a history teacher and a geography teacher, set off on the first ever Regional Study trip. We planned the Hrubá Skála region and Mladá Boleslav as our destination.

On the first day, we explored the nooks and crannies of the town of Turnov and its beautiful synagogue. In the afternoon, we covered a beautiful seven-kilometer circuit from Hrubá Skála through Valdštejn past beautiful rocky viewpoints back to our bus. After a challenging walk, we moved to our overnight stop – the beautiful Srbsko – Ráj area, where we ate a lot of schnitzel for dinner and enjoyed leisure activities – badminton, football, minigolf…

The second day started with rain, but we still managed to have a short quiz competition around our accommodation. Then we moved to the center of Mladá Boleslav, and most importantly to the last stop of our excursion – Škoda Auto Mladá Boleslav. We visited the museum, the assembly hall and the press shop. We all had a lot of experiences and are already looking forward to the next local history excursion. (TM)
